On Feeling Good

Today is the last day of my vacation.

I’ve started off going to a wellness hotel for the weekend, then had BBQ with a friend and watched the night sky for falling stars on Monday. I had a couple night on Tuesday, and finished a module of my current studies on Wednesday. On Thursday I went to Vienna for a Rammstein concert, and flew to Bucharest on Friday for the weekend.

Yes, all of this was only one week. Certainly not a typical one, and even though I struggled with some stomach issues on Saturday, I absolutely enjoyed every moment of this vacation. I felt good, happy, content. I couldn’t ask for anything else.

It’s Sunday evening, I’m back home, checking my work phone for when I need to be back in the office on Monday and caught myself reading an email of one particular colleague who has the ability to make me feel anything else but good. Continue reading “On Feeling Good”

The Perfect Notebook – Structure

I don’t know about you, but I can never get tired from looking at all kind of notebooks. May it be physical paper notebooks or digital ones. Now, you say, they do differ. And yes, I agree, they do. However, once you have purchased a notebook or created one online, you’re confronted with the same issue:

How the hell do I structure it in a way that it makes sense?

Some online notebooks come with suggestions for folders and grouping ideas via hashtags while physical notebooks might have some kind of colour coding or offer multiple page markers. And I love all of them. Continue reading “The Perfect Notebook – Structure”

Icy Blue – Pic & a Word Challenge #121

I didn’t post any pictures recently … but I’ll slowly get back to that as well and thought it might be nice to use the Pic and a Word Challenge for this purpose.

Patrick’s Challenge Nr. 121 – Crossing reminded me of last year January.

I just had moved to Budapest and was strolling along the Danube, eventually crossing the river via one of its many bridges, when I looked down and saw all this ice floating along the river and a single man standing a bit further down, prepping his own camera for a shot.

Now it’s January again, it was snowing today and I actually snapped a few pictures I’m going to review later tonight. So it looks like I didn’t lose my motivation for photography completely, which makes me really happy :)

Hope you’re all having a great Sunday!

Hello again … OMG, it’s 2018 already?!?!

My last post had been on 10. May 2016 – today is January, 1. 2018 … OMG where did the time go?

If you’re hoping for a detailed explanation of why I took a break for over 1.5 years, fat chance. Life happens and sometimes priorities shift, and before you know it another year went by. So here we are, 2018, let’s see what you have in store for me. Or even better: How can I shape 2018 to my benefit?

365 Photography Project – Square Days – Week XIX – XXI

Time for another Instagram roundup, and I’m really surprised that only 2 weeks passed since the last one. Looks like I definitely post more photos currently. Yeah for an accomplished goal! ;)

White and Green

white + green

It’s been a while since I posted a photo I edited on the laptop, so it’s been really nice to do that again. :)

I hope you all had a great long Pentecost weekend!

I took my roller blades for a spin and did some baking – Brownies!!!! Yummy, drool, yum! Thank God it was raining most of the day or I would have needed to skip it as it would have become too warm in the apartment. Which would have been a real pity.

But, it wasn’t. Therefore, excuse me please, but I have to get back to my Brownies :D

The Promise – Men Hunt

This is the third installment. To start reading the story from the beginning, click here!

When I got out of the attic, I decided to not kill myself but run away from this cursed place. My heart was still beating like a scarred animal from the scary encounter and the witches words kept my mind occupied until I came to the solution, that she was right. There were other men just like him and after all, I don’t look like a spook, so it shouldn’t be too hard for me to find someone else. After all, there wasn’t really anything I could do. He had left me. For good. He had told me, that he loves her and not me, but that we could be friends.

Lies, all of them! Just empty words. As if I would want something like this. Friends; it’s either all or nothing.
